I didn't figure but couldn't be sure.

I... totally understand. One of my other pups, AWESOME in the second book, ...omg he got toally REAMED in the third book and wow crappy way to die.

And as I read on, it gets a little worse. G.I. Joe just got a dispatch from where Billy was killed. The info that Billy was dead should have by now gotten to Storm Shadow, the guy who pretty much adopted Billy, and nothing! I don't think he's even gonna be mourned!

WTF? I seriously think the writers were like, oh crap what're we gonna do about this storyline? Dunno, just do it quick so we can get back to the important stuff.

Okay I just got to a part where they talk of recovering his body, so it's not quite as bad as I feared. But still, before I get to the end of this there'd better be some mention from Stormy. Girl Robin, the one who used to be Spoiler?

I'd heard that she died, I didn't realize it was a bad death. And now I've finished all of G.I. Joe, save for the issues of the original series that I still have to find with Billy in them. And aside from his death, and the lack of killing of main characters (it seems to me it would have been much more epic if the body count had been higher.), I'm satisfied with the ending.

Also while Billy was not quite mourned, he was mentioned somewhat in passing a few times.
